Important News from Dr Thayer

Click here to go to your patient portal–portal is closing July 1, 2015.

Please be assured that my staff and I will still be here for you, but we will be employed by Central Maine Medical Center.  My private practice is closing.

Beginning July 1, 2015, I will be employed by Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in a new practice: Spruce Mountain Medical Associates, a Central Maine Medical Group practice.  Same staff, same location, same phone number, same appointments.  My current practice will be closed.  Even though the new practice is owned by CMMC, where you go for hospital and specialty services always remains your choice.

I have been very happy to return to my practice in 2012 after 4 years of administrative work.  It has been a pleasure to reconnect with old patients and meet new patients.  The business of running the practice has been too time consuming, and I look forward to focusing my attention on my patients.  CMMC will operate their new practice and offer you more services.  CMMC plans to eventually add another primary care provider and to offer more specialty services at this location. (CMMC cardiologist Dr Bender is already here several days per month.)

If you have been using the on-line patient portal, your access will be discontinued as early as July 1.  CMMC also has an on-line patient portal.

You will be receiving a medical record release form in the mail, or to download one, click here    Please sign and return (by mail or fax) the release form to allow me to release copies of your medical record to CMMC.  This will allow me to continue to use your current medical record information at the new practice.  (If you prefer, you may instead request your own copy of your records, or request a copy sent to another provider.)

I will continue to process bills and take payments for my current business until all resolved.
